🌟 Celebrating Science and Exploration with Antariksh! 🌟

We, the Antariksh team, recently had the privilege of being a part of an extraordinary event that left an indelible mark on our scientific journey. As members of the esteemed club dedicated to fostering curiosity and passion for space exploration, we had the opportunity to organize and participate in a remarkable Science Day celebration at IUCAA, Pune, India.

With the guidance and support of our mentors, we embarked on an exhilarating mission to create an engaging exhibition that showcased the wonders of the universe. Our goal was to inspire and captivate visitors by delving into the fascinating realm of antennas and their significance in the field of astronomy.

Under the expert guidance of our guide and point of contact, Jameer Manur Sir, we meticulously curated an exhibition focused on the intriguing topic of “Antenna Training Kit”, “Faraday’s Rotation” and “Horn Antenna and H-1 Line”.

  1. “Antenna Training Kit”: We explored a variety of antennas, including the Yagi Uda antenna, Dipole antenna, Microchip antenna, and many more, highlighting their functionalities and applications. Through interactive demonstrations and informative displays, we aimed to kindle curiosity and ignite a passion for scientific exploration among our visitors.
  2. “Faraday’s Rotation”: This exhibition captivated visitors as we delved into the intricate details of Faraday’s experiment, highlighting the rotation of plane-polarized light under the influence of a magnetic field. With engaging demonstrations and clear explanations, aimed to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of this pivotal scientific discovery.
  3. “Horn Antenna and H-1 Line”: Here, we ried to demonstrate the working of Horn Antenna, by placing it under the direct sunlight and open sky. Various Observations were observed in the Experiment, especially while tinkering with the mobile Phone and their Radiations.

The highlight of this momentous occasion was the presence of Dr. Jayant Narlikar, a renowned Indian scientist, space enthusiast, and accomplished author. His esteemed program titled “ASK the SCIENTIST” left an indelible impression on all of us. We were privileged to witness his profound insights and have our burning questions answered by a true luminary in the field. Dr. Narlikar’s immense knowledge and unwavering passion for science inspired us to reach for the stars and push the boundaries of human understanding.

Additionally, we had the distinct honor of meeting Dr. Dhruba Saikia, a distinguished professor at TIFR and Vice-Chancellor of CCSU. Interacting with Dr. Saikia, who has been an integral part of the scientific community since the inception of GMRT in Pune, was a humbling experience. His invaluable contributions and wealth of expertise have made an indelible impact on the field of astrophysics.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Jameer Manur Sir for his unwavering guidance and support throughout the entire process. His mentorship has been instrumental in shaping our knowledge and igniting a lifelong passion for scientific exploration. We are immensely grateful to IUCAA for hosting such an inspiring celebration and for providing a platform where young enthusiasts and Teams like us can showcase our dedication to the pursuit of knowledge. This event has ignited a spark within the Scientific Clubs, reinforcing the commitment to scientific exploration and pushing the boundaries of human understanding.

As the Antariksh Club, we are thrilled to have been a part of this unforgettable experience. We look forward to continuing our journey of discovery, fostering scientific excellence, and inspiring future generations to reach for the stars.
