🌟 Interesting Aspects of Chandrayaan-3 🌟
As the Antariksh Club, the Astronomy Club of Vishwakarma Institutes, we are thrilled to share the success and impact of our recent Invited Talk event featuring the renowned former Group Director of ISRO, Mr. Suresh Naik Sir. Held on 21st July 2023 at the Sharad Arena, Auditorium of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune, the event left an indelible mark on all attendees, inspiring a deeper appreciation for space exploration and scientific pursuits.
The Invited Talk was organized in collaboration with the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering as a part of the Faculty Development Programme at VIT. The event attracted 100 esteemed faculty members from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) and more than 200 enthusiastic students from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) and Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Pune.
Mr. Suresh Naik Sir, an iconic figure in the space research community, graced the occasion with his presence. The event commenced with a warm felicitation of Mr. Naik by the Head of Multidisciplinary Department, Prof. (Dr.) Shilpa Lambor, and esteemed Deans of VIT, Prof. (Dr.) Mukund Kulkarni (Dean of Administration), Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Marathe (Dean of Academics), and Prof. (Dr.) Ganesh Dongre (Dean of Research).
During his captivating lecture, Mr. Suresh Naik Sir took the audience on an enthralling journey through the technical aspects of rocket designing, the incredible Chandrayaan missions, and the groundbreaking discovery of water on the Moon. He shared valuable insights into the challenges and triumphs of the Chandrayaan-2 mission and enlightened the audience on the advancements and preparations for Chandrayaan-3. Mr. Naik’s profound knowledge and engaging presentation style kept the entire audience inspired and informed.
The interactive session was a highlight of the event, as students and faculty members eagerly posed questions to Mr. Suresh Naik Sir. The queries ranged from India’s journey in the global Space Race to the country’s future Space policies. Mr. Naik graciously addressed each question, providing valuable insights into the nation’s space exploration endeavors.
As members of the Antariksh Club, we had dedicated interaction session with Mr. Suresh Naik Sir. During this session, we delved into diverse topics related to Observational and Practical Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Space Technology. His guidance and encouragement served as a beacon of inspiration for our aspiring young minds in the club.
